January 28th- Galapagoes Rabida Island and Dragon Hill

Today we start with an island exploration. We come upon our first flamingos along the edge of the water. They are pink which means they are healthy. They control their temperature by their legs and feet.

We traveled around and learned about different plants and flowers but the one i found interesting was the palm cactus .  They have a web inside them that helps keep their shape.

In the afternoon we went to another island to check out the iguanas and their homes. They live in burrows and only one can live there. They go in and turn around and have their head facing out.  We could follow their trails that their tails made. Boy was it hot!
