September 8th

 Hi all 

Today we started out heading towards Solvenia. it got warmer as the day went on. We left Cividale and ended up in Bovec.  We had lunch at a local restaurant in Kluze with our motorcycle friends…lots of them!  There will be 50,000 of them staying in the area for more than a week.  Then onto a hike to Bovec which was about  2 miles to our hotel.

I czn’t get this picture to turn right side up but it is showing the long line of cars and motorcycles that ate waiting for the cars to be let through. We had to detour Alison and the bus was too long in some places. A little scary. It was reported as a bad one and it would be another 2 hours.

Our next stop is at a fort built in 1881. It was destroyed in WWI then

Then rebuilt and left open for 85 years, here the solder is having his tooth pulling with a house shoe pull tool.
