We are off to hike the POt Triglavske Bistrice trail along the river over some more rocks and roots. Some have a little trouble with these so we just lend them a hand. A few of the members stayed behind to join us after for lunch and more hiking. Lunch was at the Aljazev Dom hut that had been built by a priest.
We climbed up to see Mount Triglav which is about 9,000 feet. We are at about 3500 feet here. This is the highest peak in Slovenia and on the flag. Unfortunately the clouds rolled in and covered it for any pictures. Our other hike after lunch was cancelled due to the pending storm.
Back to town - some to the museum and some to the slide down the mountain. I picked the slide and as we got there, it started to rain and they shut it down..such a disappointment. Off to town to do some shopping and a cup of coffee.
Around the town
Pastries are yummy!
This is the sled you come down from the top in. You are the sole controller with the stick!!
Running up to the slide. This is the view from our hotel. This is where some of the skiing events happen.
Coming back into town.
It was a very narrow road and our driver had to keep trying to squeeze by. It was inches a lot to the time.
The scenery is just breath taking..
Trying to see the very top…too many clouds
