Two regions east and west
World made up of many plates  Caribbean and scotia plate alike. They have volcanoes and have island on the side of the plates.
We have continental plates and Oceania plates
Talked about plates coming together and going away from each other,
Antarctica and South America separated  about 30 million years ago. And 40 million years ago was covered by ice. More ice before about 1000 feet more and now the ice is  4000 meters
Mountains we are going to see are very young mountains
Few volcanoes in the Bransfield strait and the Marie Byrd land due to the rifting processes.
There might be a volcanic eruption and ice might will not be good.
Meteors are here and fossils are very important to see But you Can’t take anything from Antartica..

So that is the events for today.. We of course have the outside on the deck  to enjoy to see what you can. Saw my first whales!!
