More Irish color and things

I have decided to add a few bits and pieces that I have seen along the way and found interesting.

This chart is in the city hall in Limerick. As you can read. Road Deaths Fatal Accidents in Ireland

The picture above is one of the booking or betting shops that are all over Ireland (legally).

The Irish love to dress. They have absolutely beautiful clothes and are very trendy and colorful! Below are several pictures from all over Ireland.

Sorry I couldn't get these any better.

This sign was at the airport. Another different saying than ours.
Rotary Club with Gaye on the left as president elect and Gerry as president. This is where you will find David and me on Fridays.  Yesterday we did a blood pressure clinic all day down town.  We served about 250 people.

The down town is all decorated for Christmas and has been for weeks.  They are even playing Christmas carrols which I love. These photos are at Brown Thomas, an upscale department store in Limerick.  The theme is of different ballets: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Nutcracker

This gives a broader view of the windows and how pretty they are.

I have tried to get a group of school kids coming out of school but this is all I could get and not be too obnoxious.  Every school has a colour and the girls all have to wear long skirts all year. When the kids are all together downtown it is quite a colourful sight.
We went to "51 Shades of Maggie" the other night.  As you can guess by the name, it is a take off on the Fifty Shades of Gray. It was very funny with only one person playing all the parts. During intermission we went to get a drink. I got gingerale which came in this tiny bottle. It is 113 ml  (4oz).for 2.50 Euros which is aprox $3.50. The bottle comes very small with a very big price. David had sparkling water which came in 8 -10oz.

Ireland does not like plastic bags.  When you buy things at the milk market they will put it in a paper bag like the one above.  At supermarkets, if you forget a bookbag or sack to put your groceries in and need a bag, you will get a plastic bag but you will have to pay 22 euro cents, about $.30 a bag.  My friend Ellen was very surprised when she had to buy one.. It is a brillant idea and I wish we did that.

So onto my next adventure.. Cheerio :-)
