traveling to Northern Ireland

We started out renting a car and just wondering the country side. We started in Limerick and our first stop was Galway. WE actually just drove through as there was no place to park. We went along the docks that was full of coal and oil. Next onto Sligo. Again we didn't stop. - just roundabouts a couple of times.
The stop that we did was Donegal. A very nice place. We walked along the water edge. unfortunately everything was closed. So we walked along Donegal castle. This castle has been restored some. A cute little town. Our final stop for the night was in Andara which was off the beaten path towards the most western point. Our hotel was 183 years old. Can you imagine???

The next day, yesterday, we pushed on after going in every possible direction trying to find the right road out. We moved on up to LetterKenny and passed a tractor parade of about 150 tractors of all sizes! Next stop- Derry/Londonderry. We took our time here and went on a walking tour. The tour was in the walled city, about 30 acres. Here were many battles.
this is where Bloody Sunday took place. I was amazed to hear all that had happened here. I always thought most of the fighting was in Belfast.

Onto Belfast today to find out what happened there. Oh and we didn't even know when we crossed the border!! only sign was the speed changed to MPH from KM cheers :)
