Feb 6th- Cajas National Park-

Our first adventure of the day was a trip to the daily market.   What a surprise when Celso told us that we were going to a cleansing.  What an experience.  You sit down in front of a healer and she takes herbs and flowers hitting /swishing  you all around.  Then she took an egg and rubbed it all around you.  This told her where your problem spots were.  I was told that i had dark winds and  evil eye.  This meant that i had bad energy from taking on problems from places mainly and the evil eye was from being with some one that had negative and their negative energy was with me.  They sprayed us - put a black mark on our forehead. A very refreshing experience.

                                                          Our healing process below.

We are off to the Cajas National Park where the altitude is up to 14,600 ft.at top of Cerro Arquitectos.

The alpine tundra of low growing plants.  We then drive to Biospere Reserve which is protected by UNESCO. - a park of evergreen cloud forest and hundreds of lakes.—300 to 4000 lakes here that drain down the mountain  20% of the drinking water comes from here.    The ground is very spongy and full of water. There are 167 species of birds. Juan took us around the lake picking out trees , vines, flowers and birds for us. He showed us plants and flowers used for medicines.

Lunch was at a beautiful restaurant that raised and caught their own trout which we had for lunch.. and the desserts were devious!!

We came back for free time.  The four of us went out early to try some local beer and then was joined by Celso and Carlos for dinner. After dinner we took one last walk around the square.

Tomorrow we start our beginning of our way home. And heading down to almost sea level.

Great wonderful trip. Thank you Celso.
